More than 100 new free climbing paths on Denti della Vecchia
Denti della Vecchia, a group of mountains in the pre-Alps of Lugano between Switzerland and Italy, represent one of the historical free climbing paths of Ticino. The “Sasso Grande”, reaching an altitude of 1’492 metres above sea level, is the most striking calcareous peak of the group. The main mountain huts in the area are Capanna Pairolo and one located on the Alpe della Bolla. The “Scoiattoli” group of Denti della Vecchia provide a complete guide of the free climbing paths.
